What better way to serve up summer than with this Strawberry Basil Martini?!? Perfectly refreshing for all your summer gatherings!
This post is sponsored in conjunction with #BBQWeek. The sponsors, Rainier Foods and Intensity Academy, generously provided samples to participants to aid in the creation of the #BBQWeek recipes and prize packages to give away to the readers. However, all opinions are mine alone. This recipe is for those 21 & up. Please drink responsibly.
Picture this. You’re out in the back yard, the grill is going and you’ve made some amazing side dishes to go with the meats. And you, my friend, can now kick back under a shade tree and enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Basil Martini after all your hard work. Or, you know, you can have one just because while you watch someone else do all the work. No judgment here!!!
But whichever route you go, just be sure you have a batch (or three) of these ready to go for your next BBQ, or any summer gathering! They aren’t too sweet (like hardly at all) but they have amazing strawberry flavor infused with refreshing basil. Just do be careful how much vodka you had because like I said, these aren’t too sweet. If you put too much, it’ll overwhelm the whole drink and you’ll make that yucky pucker face. We don’t want that. Don’t do that.

How to make Strawberry Basil Martini
Full printable recipe card below!
- Roughly chop the strawberries and place in a small saucepan with the lime juice and basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook until strawberries are softened, and use the back of a spoon or a potato masher to puree the strawberries. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Once cool, place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour the strawberry puree into the strainer and use a rubber spatula to press the mixture through. This will strain out any seeds and the strips of basil.
- Place ice in your shaker cup followed by the vodka and the puree. Shake until cold and mixed well.
- Pour evenly into two martini glasses and garnish with strawberries and basil leaves, if desired.
