Cranberry-Apple-Citrus Cocktail

July 5, 2012 by Jaida Leave a Comment

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July yesterday! I enjoyed having the day off, relaxing at home with some special chili dogs (recipe coming soon!), and a few cocktails. And what is a better cocktail for Independence Day than a fruity, red one?? Not much my friends. Not much at all.
It’s light, refreshing, and perfect for summer, or any celebration. The addition of citrus vodka give it an extra punch of flavor that screams summer and sunshine. Well, to me at least. The weekend is coming up, and I’m sure there will be belated 4th of July celebrations going on…and you would be the hero of the party if you brought these cocktails to share. Promise! And hey, if you want to make something similar for the kiddos, just use orange juice in place of the citrus vodka!
Cranberry-Apple-Citrus Cocktail
Adapted from What Katie Ate
Ingredients
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup of Citrus vodka (I used Absolut Citron)
  • 1 cup gingerale
  • Ice
Preparation
  1. Combine juices and vodka in a 2 qt pitcher, stirring to combine.
  2. Add gingerale and ice, stirring to combine and chill.
  3. Divide among cocktail glasses, and enjoy!
