Candy Corn Popcorn Balls are the perfect combination of sweet and salty – think caramel corn mixed with salted peanuts and candy corn. It’s perfect for Halloween parties!
This post and recipe was created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% my own.
I’m apparently one of the few people in existence that actually likes candy corn. Like, really likes it. Well, my kid does, too, but you get what I’m saying. I like it so much that I’ve taken to finding it in varying colors for different holidays so I can make treats with it. Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter…yep, yep. But I digress. I also love caramel and any kind of salty-sweet combo. So, naturally, I took some lightly salted popcorn, tossed it with salted peanuts and candy corn, then drenched it in melted caramel, rolled it up in balls and stuck a paper straw in them. Voila! Best Halloween party snack everrrrrr!
I bet even the candy corn nay-sayers would eat it up. If not, more for us, amiright??

- Pop popcorn according to package instructions. Pour into a large bowl or strainer and try to remove any loose kernels that didn’t pop. Add candy corn and peanuts.
- Unwrap caramels and place in a small saucepan with the heavy cream over medium heat. Cook, stirring continuously, until the caramel is melted and smooth.
- Pour caramel over the popcorn and candies and use a long spoon to stir until popcorn and candies are mixed and coated well with the caramel.
- Wet your hands just a bit, to prevent too much caramel sticking to them, then carefully (the caramel will still be hot) pick up a handful of the mixture and shape into a ball. Place popcorn ball on a sheet of wax paper, and repeat until popcorn mixture is gone*. Allow to sit on wax paper until caramel has hardened. You will end up with ~6 large popcorn balls. If not eating right away, store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
