Cake Pops for Monkey!

September 6, 2011 by Jaida 3 Comments

As promised on Friday, JF & I made cake pops that evening with Monkey for his birthday, and for my family BBQ on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, Monkey was very excited to help roll the balls, even though some of his we decided to call cake bites because they were itty bitty. It was adorable and I really loved spending that time with him. JF was my sprinkler πŸ™‚ We had some cake pops, and some cake balls but they were a big hit with everyone – kids and adults alike!

I didn’t get any pictures of the inside, but we used Funfetti Cake with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate candy melts for the outside coating. See here for step-by-step instructions on making cake pops!

Of course I have desserts, less healthy and more time-intensive meals as well (everything in moderation!), but all-in-all, you can count on weeknight friendly options, all made with love and dished up with a side of life, love, and family!
