If you're looking for a summer drink with a kick, this Spicy Watermelon Margarita is where it's at! Made with fresh watermelon and jalapeno-infused tequila, you can make it as spicy as you like!
Place watermelon cubes and lime juice in a blender and mix until smooth.
Using a fine mesh strainer and a spatula, pour the watermelon puree through (into a bowl) and press down with the spatula to strain out any pulp. Discard pulp.
Pour watermelon puree into a pitcher or back into the blender and add the simple syrup and jalapeno-infused tequila. Stir or blend to mix.
Serve over ice, garnished with limes, jalapeno slices, and watermelon cubes, if desired.
Notes
*to make simple syrup, combine 1/4 cup water with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar in a small pot over medium heat. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat and allow to cool. **To make your own jalapeno-infused tequila: Combine 2 cups of silver tequila with 1 jalapeno, sliced for 2-24 hours, depending on how spicy you want it. Remove jalapeno and strain out seeds, and it's ready to use!
