Ingredients

  • 8 oz crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs or sausage links
  • mustard (optional, for eyes)
  • ketchup and/or mustard for dipping, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven the 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with foil. Set aside.
  • Remove the crescent roll dough from the can onto a lightly floured surface, to keep it from sticking. Roll it out slightly and press together the perforated edges. Use a very sharp knife or a pizza cutter to cut thin strips on the shortest side. You can leave them long or cut them in half, whichever is easier for you to handle while wrapping.
  • Take one hot dog and wrap a crescent roll strip (or two, if needed) to make the mummy wrapping, leaving spaces between each wrap. Lay on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove and allow to cool slightly. If desired, add a couple of mustard dots at the top of each mummy dog for eyes. Serve with mustard and or ketchup for dipping.
