Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan over high heat, bring the orange juice, water and sugar to a boil.
  • Add cranberries, orange zest, cinnamon and salt and return to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, until cranberries burst and soften. Stir and mash the cranberries a bit.
  • Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl. Allow to cool to room temp, then cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
