Lemon Basil Margaritas

The Lemon Basil Margaritas take traditional margaritas to a whole new level with the addition of basil and lemon bakery emulsion. A cocktail you don't want to miss out on!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Dixie Crystals granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 Basil Leaves
  • 6 oz silver tequila
  • 1/4 tsp LorAnn Oils Lemon Bakery Emulsion
  • 3 oz Fresh Lime Juice ~6-8 limes
  • lemon or lime slices, and basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and heat until sugar has dissolved. Set aside and allow to cool. 
  • Tear basil and place in the bottom of a shaker cup. Add  3 oz of simple syrup and remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake vigorously, and then pour through strainer into ice-filled glasses*. Garnish with lemon or lime slices and basil leaves. 

Notes

*If you like salt on your glass, rim your glasses with salt before filling.
