8ozAlmond bark (vanilla) or white chocolate coating
orange food coloring(or green, purple - whatever you like! Coloring is optional, of course.)
16Pretzel rods
Halloween sprinkles
Instructions
Place a sheet of wax paper onto a baking sheet and set aside.
Place the almond bark in a microwave safe container (tall, skinny cups usually work nicely) and melt according to package instructions (usually 90 seconds on high, stir and then heat for 15 seconds more until melted and smooth.)
If using any coloring, add 3-4 drops and stir thorougly. Add more, 1 drop at a time to reach desired color. I used 4-5 drops for the orange.
Tilt the cup slightly to make the melted coating come up higher, then dip your pretzel rod in as far as you can and twist to coat well. Tap or twirl gently as you remove it (over the cup) to remove some of the excess coating.
Add sprinkles to one side of the pretzel rod, then lay that side down on the wax paper and sprinkle the other side. Repeat this process until all the pretzel rods are dipped and decorated. Place baking sheet with pretzel rods on it in the fridge for about 10 minutes to help the coating firm up quicker. Once done, serve or store in an airtight container for up to a week!
Notes
*If you are making more than one color, divide the coating in half before melting.
