Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette cut into ½-inch thick slices
  • 6 oz Brie thinly sliced; rind removed if desired
  • 2 pears halved cored, and thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • Fresh herbs thyme or rosemary, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the baguette slices on a large baking sheet. Place one or two slices of cheese on each baguette slice. Bake slices in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the brie is melted and baguette is lightly browned and crisp.
  • While the baguette slices are toasting, combine the honey and balsamic in small bowl. Mix until well combined. If you want it a little thicker, you can heat over low heat in a small saucepan for a few minutes and it will thicken. Or you can zap it in the microwave for a minute or two, let it cool, and it will thicken up.
  • Top each baguette slice with a slice or two of pear, and drizzle with honey-balsamic sauce and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary.
