Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound top sirloin or skirt steak , cut into thin strips
  • 4 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger , minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 8 oz udon noodles (or long noodle of choice)
  • 2 Tbsp sliced green onions, for topping
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds, for topping

Instructions

  • Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil and set aside. (This is where you could add Sriracha if you want a little heat with it!)
  • Heat oil over high heat in a large skillet. Add beef strips and sear for 2-3 minutes, then turn and sear until  browned and almost cooked through.
  • Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Pour in the soy sauce mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Add the cooked noodles and stir to coat in the sauce.
  • Remove for heat, top with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve!
