Well, it’s happening. Summer is slowly walking itself to the door. We’ve had a lot of rain over the last couple of weeks and just this week we had a cool front blow in that got us down into the 60s at night, and low 80s for the high. That is a far cry from the high 90s and low 100s that we had been seeing for awhile. And as much as I loathe cold weather, I despise mosquitoes even more, and they have eaten me alive over the past few weeks and I. Am. Over it. So, I say…bring on fall and winter!!
Also, that means that it will be soup and hot chocolate weather. Casseroles, hot apple cider, and lots of holiday baking. Boots and comfy sweaters. Yeah, I’d say I’m ready. How about you?
It is still in the 80s, but I’m starting to slowly menu plan for the impending cooler weather. Check out the upcoming week’s menu!
