So, here we are, the week after Thanksgiving. Did you get your fill (or more than) of Thanksgiving food? Did you wait until after Thanksgiving was over to put up the tree or whatever holiday decorations you use? We had a nice, long weekend, ate ourselves silly and didn’t get the tree up. Yet. It will go up this week, toddler-willing.
I did, however get a LOT done on Sunday. Recipe creating, house cleaning, toy clearing, and laundry. Because there is always laundry, right? I am looking forward to the coming weeks and all the fun that comes with Christmas – especially now with a toddler who has some idea what all is going on. The Christmas tree, alone, should be interesting!
Here is our menu for this week:
Sunday – Venison Chili, Cornbread
Monday – At a work conference – J and Nat will have chili or turkey salad
Tuesday – Turkey Tacos Picadillo
Wednesday – Salmon with White Wine & Lemon Sauce, Couscous, Cornmeal Crusted Okra
Thursday – Roasted Butternut Squash & Brussels Sprouts Harvest Salad with Maple Cider Vinaigrette
Friday – Brie Burger with Sun-Dried Tomato and Artichoke Spread
Saturday – Annual White Elephant Christmas Party with friends (Mexican Food)
