I told you all last week that August is a busy birthday month for our family, and as just about halfway through the month already (how?!?) the birthdays are in full swing.
Yesterday we had my Grannie’s 90th birthday celebration, and it was so nice to see family we don’t get to see very often, and celebrate the lady we all love so very much. 90 is a pretty big accomplishment, y’all! I’m so blessed to be almost 40 and still have my Grannie.
We’ll be heading to the beach this weekend, which is my birthday weekend, then next weekend is Nat’s 3rd birthday party. Unicorn themed! And I’m making all the things! Am I crazy?? Perhaps. But…it’s kinda my thang, ya know? I’m going to try really hard to get lots of good pics and post some of the yummy recipes, but…when I’m in full party prep mode, my focus is pretty acute. Get it all done before party day and spend party day setting up before all the people get there!
The menu plan for this week is short since we’ll be at the beach Thursday-Sunday, and we won’t plan those meals until we get there and collaborate with the others, but here’s the menu that we do have!
Sunday – Grilled Chicken Quarters, Ranch Style Beans, Pesto Veggie Skewers
Monday – Venison Sausage Tortellini Skillet
Tuesday – Black Bean & Sweet Potato Tacos
Wednesday – Turkey BLT Panini
Thursday – Saturday: At the beach!
This week is also Stone Fruit Week, where myself and other bloggers from my Festive Foodies group will be posting lots of yummy recipes using all the glorious stone fruits! I’ll have recipes posted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but there will be posts all week long! Don’t miss out!
