TNT Turkey Chili

July 20, 2012 by Jaida Leave a Comment

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago when I posted these chili dogs? I made the turkey chili for those dogs and promised to share that recipe with you as well. And, here I am 2 weeks later, finally getting it to you!
I have a beef chili recipe that I developed over the past couple of years, but since I was using Jennie-O products for these chili dogs, I thought it would be appropriate to also use turkey chili! And, I could have probably used my beef chili recipe and subbed the turkey, but I thought I’d look for something a little more spicy instead. I found this recipe from Midwest Living, and it turned out fantastic!! Granted, I subbed the turkey in this one for the sirloin they used, but the flavor is what I was looking for! I wound up using it for the dogs, for a taco salad, and then just to eat with some tostada shells! It was quite tasty, and now I have two great chili recipes in my arsenal Suh-weet!!
Chili isn’t usually a go-to meal for summer, but if you have chili dogs anywhere on your menu this summer, I suggest you try making a batch of this to top your dogs!

Welcome!

As a busy wife and mom who also works a full time job, I try to have dinner done in 30 minutes or less so I can spend more of my evenings with my hubby and baby girl, so what you will find here are recipes that are mostly-healthy, quick and easy. Of course I have desserts, less healthy and more time-intensive meals as well (everything in moderation!), but all-in-all, you can count on weeknight friendly options, all made with love and dished up with a side of life, love, and family!
