Calling all garlic lovers! This Garlic Parmesan Crispy Baked Chicken is garlicky, cheesy, crispy and delicious!
I love chicken. It’s just such a versatile protein, that’s also one of the healthier options. And we eat it pretty regularly, so I try to keep it interesting. No boring chicken recipes goin’ on over here. And the great thing about this Garlic Parmesan Crispy Baked Chicken is that it has just a few ingredients, but it is full of flavor. Garlicky, delicious flavor.
I went a different route for the breading. Instead of the messy flour, egg, panko triple dipped method, I opted to use a garlic olive oil mixture to coat the chicken, and then a seasoned panko mixture for the coating, which also includes garlic powder. I told you. Garlicky deliciousness.
Crispy baked chicken is great because you can get the crispiness without frying. Not that I don’t love some good, fried chicken, or fried just-about-anything, but…that’s just not something we eat on a regular basis. I do pan-fry things on occasion, but couldn’t tell you the last time I deep-fried anything here at home.
How to make Garlic Parmesan Cripsy Baked Chicken Breasts:
Full Printable Recipe Below!
1.) Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 13×9 casserole dish with cooking spray and set aside.
2.) In a shallow dish, wide enough for the chicken breasts, combine the olive oil and chopped garlic. In another similarly sized dish, combine the panko, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan.
3.) One at a time, dip the chicken breasts into the olive oil and garlic mixure and turn to coat. Let excess olive oil drip off before placing into the Panko mixture and pressing down to coat and then turn and do the same on the other side. Place into the prepared baking dish. Repeat with remaining chicken breasts. Discard remaining olive oil and panko mixtures.
4.) Spray tops of chicken lightly with cooking spray or olive oil spray, then place in oven and bake for 35-45 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165 degrees F) and tops are browned. If you’d like them a little more brown, you can place them under the broiler for a couple of minutes, just keep an eye on them so they don’t burn!
5.) Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy the garlicky deliciousness!
