While I love a good old-fashioned lime margarita, I have really been enjoying trying all these flavored varieties lately. Using the different fruits that are in season not only make a delicious drink, but a pretty one to boot! I mean, c’mon now…look at that pretty red drink. Bee-yoo-tiful!
I tend to be a little late to the game for Blood Oranges and Meyer Lemons, and I just nearly missed them completely this year! Fortunately I managed to scoop up a dozen or so, with these margaritas already in mind. The first time I saw a blood orange, it kind of freaked me out. The color just looks so…wrong. But once I tasted one, the dark red flesh of the fruit no longer bothered me. And mixed with tequila and lime…..perfecto!!
With just a couple of weeks left to get blood oranges, you need to make these!!
