Well, here we are in week two of 9 months, and our little Tater girl has decided she is ready to move. She crawled more than a couple of little scoots for the first time last night, for snacks of course. That’s the only motivation that works currently. Because, of course it is. Our little piggy loves her snacks. And since she is obsessed with standing – and did so at daycare for almost 30 seconds all by herself yesterday – I don’t doubt that walking won’t be far behind crawling.
Here is a short clip of her first attempts over the weekend. So stinkin’ cute. On the move…
Of course, we are in the very beginning stages of crawling so she isn’t totally mobile just yet, but I know it is just a matter of days, maybe a week or so, before she gets it down and life as we all know it is over. Mobile baby is a game changer, for sure!! It’s exciting and terrifying all at the same time.
And, who would have thought that a package of toilet paper would be the best standing-up assister?? She loves it! And as long as we hold the package so it doesn’t slide forward, she can stand there and hold herself up and play, even one-handed!! Woohoo! Go big girl!
I will keep you updated on all the fun that is surely coming as she gets more and more mobile. Childproofing must be done. My coffee table alone is very intriguing to her and that’s where we keep all the random crap we may need within our reach, but definitely does need to be in hers!
